Captain George Wilson has sailed Aliento from East Hampton almost half-way around the world. He has made ports of call in Ireland and the Spanish and Portugese Islands off the coast of Africa: Floras and Horta in the Azores, Madiera and the Canary Islands. Then on to the Caribbean, where the boat has visited St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Bequia and many of the Grenadines, Dominica, Guadalupe, Antigua, Bermuda.

Aliento started life on the west coast, sailing from Los Angeles to Hawaii, and from Los Angeles to Boston, before coming home to Three Mile Harbor.

The 2010 sailing season will be Aliento’s 18th year of chartering from Three MIle Harbor, one of the most scenic embarkations on eastern Long Island.
